Wake Up with Purpose: A Memorial Day Reflection on Rest, Renewal, and God’s Plan for Your Life

Today, as we pause to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service, I’m reminded that life itself is a sacred gift. Memorial Day is not just a long weekend—it’s an invitation to reflect, to breathe, and to realign our lives with what truly matters.

For many of us as Christian women—moms, teachers, leaders, or creatives—it’s easy to slip into a cycle of busyness. We wake up rushing, checking emails, packing lunches, and pushing through another full day. But what if we saw our mornings not as a race, but as a holy rhythm?

What if how we start the day was the key to walking in God’s purpose—without burning out?

Purpose Over Performance

The truth is, purpose isn’t found in how much you can check off your list. It’s found in how present you are with God and how surrendered you are to His plan—even in the little things. When we start our mornings with prayer, stillness, and scripture, we aren’t just being “productive.” We’re aligning our spirit with heaven’s agenda.

That’s why I created the Purpose for Today devotional—to help women like you embrace God's plan and live with intention, one morning at a time.

Today’s Devotion: Day 26 — Purpose in Every Season

“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NKJV)

Purpose is not limited to one moment in time. God has purpose for you in every season—whether you are waiting, growing, resting, or building.

Trust that each season is purposeful. Ask God what He is teaching you right now and embrace His assignment for today.

Prayer

Father God, thank You that every season has a purpose. Help me to trust You in the process and embrace what You are doing in my life right now. Teach me to be faithful and fruitful in every season. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Daily Declarations

God has purpose for me in every season of my life.

I embrace the lessons and assignments in this season.

I trust God’s timing and plan for this moment.

Action Steps

  • Reflect on the current season you are in.

  • Journal what God is teaching you during this time.

  • Ask God for clarity on how to be faithful in this season.

Reflection Question

What is God’s purpose for you in this current season?

3 Simple Ways to Start Your Morning with Purpose

  1. Pause and pray before you scroll. Even just 60 seconds can shift your heart toward peace.

  2. Read one scripture and reflect. Let God’s Word shape your mindset for the day.

  3. Use a devotional that guides you with intention. The Purpose for Today devotional is designed to help you live aligned with God’s plan in just a few minutes each morning.
