How to Find Peace in a Busy Season

As I step back into my teaching role this month, the pace of life is picking up quickly. New lesson plans, fresh faces in the classroom, and the whirlwind of a new school year can easily shift my focus. But this summer has been such a gift — a time of rest, joy, and clarity. My prayer is to carry that same peace with me into this busy season, refusing to let stress take root.

The truth is, God’s peace isn’t just for the quiet moments of life. It’s for the classroom, the car line, the grocery store, and every in-between moment when life feels fast and full. If you’re stepping into a busy season too — whether it’s back-to-school, a new job, or just life’s demands — here are three practical ways to stay anchored in peace.

1. Start Your Day in God’s Presence

Before the emails, meetings, and to-do lists, carve out time for prayer and scripture. Even 10–15 minutes of stillness with God can shift your mindset for the day ahead. Peace begins in His presence, so let that be your first appointment of the day.

2. Set Healthy Boundaries

Busyness often comes from overcommitting. Ask God for wisdom on what to say yes to — and the courage to say no when needed. Protecting your time and energy helps you guard your peace and focus on what truly matters in this season.

3. Speak Peace Over Your Day

Your words carry power. Begin declaring God’s promises of peace over your mind, your home, and your work. Remind yourself that you are walking with the Prince of Peace, no matter what comes your way.

Day 3: Perfect Peace Through Trust

Scripture of the Day: "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you." – Isaiah 26:3

Inspiration for the Day: Trusting God with a steadfast mind brings perfect peace. This peace is a result of unwavering trust in His faithfulness and love.

Prayer: Gracious God, I desire to experience the perfect peace that comes from trusting in You. Help me to keep my mind steadfast and focused on Your promises. When doubts arise, remind me of Your faithfulness and love. Fill my heart with Your peace and let it overflow into every area of my life. Amen.

Application:

  • Meditate on a specific promise of God that brings you peace.

  • Practice focusing your mind on God’s faithfulness whenever worries arise.

  • Write down and memorize Isaiah 26:3 to recall during stressful times.

Declarations:

  • My mind is steadfast because I trust in God.

  • God keeps me in perfect peace.

  • I am confident in God’s promises.

Reflection: What promise of God can you hold onto today to maintain peace?
