Do your mornings feel rushed, chaotic, or even overwhelming? As Christian women, we wear many hats—mom, teacher, wife, friend, leader—and it’s easy to let busyness set the tone for our entire day. But what if you could invite God into your morning and experience His peace and direction, no matter how packed your schedule is?
The truth is: a faith-filled morning routine can transform your whole day—even if you’re busy. It’s not about perfection, but about connection. Let’s explore how you can meet with God in the quiet moments and let His presence lead you through every challenge.

Myth-Busting: You Don’t Need Hours—Just Intention
There’s a myth that you need to spend an hour with God before sunrise for your routine to “count.” But God isn’t tracking your minutes—He’s looking at your heart. Even five intentional minutes with Him can make a world of difference.
Whether you’re a working mom, student, or managing a full household, your morning routine can be as simple or structured as you need. The key is to begin your day with intention—to invite God in first.
3 Ways to Invite God Into Your Morning (No Matter How Busy You Are)
Start with Scripture- Open your Bible app or flip to a favorite verse. Reading even one passage and whispering a short prayer can center your heart and mind.
Pray a Simple Prayer- Your words don’t need to be fancy—just honest. “Lord, guide my steps and give me Your peace today.”
Play Worship Music- Music can shift the atmosphere. Put on a worship song as you get ready, make your tea, or drive to work. Let praise set your mindset.
My Morning Testimony: The Gift of Quiet Time
As a Christian teacher and single mom, my days are full from sunrise to sunset. But over the years, I’ve learned that the best way to serve my family and students is to start my day with God.
I set my alarm for 6 a.m., before the rest of the house wakes up. My dog Serenity, always an early riser, heads outside while I make my favorite morning tea—chai with honey and a little creamer. With worship music softly playing, I sip my tea, read a quick devotion, and pray. Sometimes I answer a reflection question, sometimes I simply sit in silence.
That sacred time grounds me. It’s my chance to check in with the One I ultimately work for. As a Christian teacher, I know I’m God’s vessel in the classroom and at home. His wisdom is what helps me parent well and serve my students with patience and love. On days when I skip my quiet time, I feel the difference—more anxious, less centered, and easily frustrated. But when I make even a small space for God, He meets me with peace, clarity, and purpose.
Common Struggles (and Simple Solutions)
“I’m not a morning person.” Set up your Bible, journal, or favorite mug the night before so it’s ready and inviting.
“I don’t have time.” Five minutes counts. Pray while making breakfast, or listen to a devotion on your commute.
“I forget.” Pair your quiet time with a habit you never skip—like your morning tea or coffee.
Remember, God honors every effort to seek Him first. Start small, and let it grow over time.
Devotion of the Day
Day 4: You Are Not Forgotten
Scripture of the Day “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” — Deuteronomy 31:8 (NIV)
Devotion
There are seasons in life when we feel overlooked, unseen, or like we’re waiting endlessly for something to change. In those moments, it can feel like God is silent—but His Word promises that He is always with you.
He goes before you, clearing the path. He walks beside you, giving strength. And He covers you with His presence, even when you don’t feel it.
You are not forgotten. God’s eyes are on you, His plans are still unfolding, and He will never forsake you. You can rest in the truth that you are always in His care.
Prayer
Father God, thank You for never leaving or forsaking me. Even when I feel unseen, You are near. Strengthen my heart in the waiting, and remind me that Your timing is perfect. I trust that You are working behind the scenes on my behalf, and I choose to rest in Your faithful love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Daily Declarations
God has not forgotten me. He is always with me.
I trust God’s timing and His plans for my life.
I am held in God’s faithful and loving care.
Action Steps
Reflect on a time when God showed up for you in a powerful way.
Write a prayer of gratitude for God’s constant presence.
Repeat today’s declarations whenever you feel discouraged.
Reflection Question How does knowing God will never leave or forsake you bring you peace in this season?
