How to Use Serenity as an Inner Compass

Sometimes we need to have the courage to look chaos in the face and protect our serenity. No matter what is going on around you, You can keep an inner peace. How do you use serenity as an inner compass? Check out

6 techniques below:

#1 Say no to Drama- sometimes we have to create boundaries and not allow other people's story to cloud are own inner compass. Sometimes this also means not over indulging in bad news. Yes we want to be informed but honestly 15 minutes is plenty to find out top stories in your area. Other then that negative news stories can wrack havoc on your emotions and cause unwanted anxiety. So watch what you are allowing in your space from others talking or from what you are listening to on a regular basis.

#2 Practice Gratitude- this month we are focusing on a gratitude theme. So you may see a trend in using Gratitude in all situations. Gratitude can definitely create serenity. Even when things don't look good if we change are focus gratitude can turn stress into ease.

#3 Practice Mindfulness- this means having a connection with her heart, mind, body and soul- really being in-tuned with your emotions so you can sense when you are off and then gently being guided back to a place of serenity. This also means checking in with yourself and being honest about how you feel.

#4 Get Support- some may think being alone and having quietness is all the help you need to gain serenity but I have a different take. I believe that being around positive support networks where people can pray for you, and give you the warmth of friendship can also be all the serenity you need.

#5 Speak Affirmations- sometimes we need to get serenity from our thoughts. To help calm the negative chatter try the practice of affirmations. I have used the power of affirmations to build confidence in my own life and I am a firm believer that what you focus on you attract. Whether knowingly our unknowingly we are affirming so might as well make it a positive declaration. Affirmations are best when spoken out loud.

#6 Go to God- serenity comes from a greater source. If we feel lost or in chaos it is a sign we need to go to God. Life will have you needing to activate hope, courage, and faith. But never feel you have to go at life alone. Tap into a higher power that will guide you with all of thee above. No one will give you more support or affirm you like God can.

Conclusion

This week I encourage you to practice at least 1 of the 6 techniques above and write down in a journal all you discover. Taking action and then journaling about your results is an awareness process that can create more well-being in your life.
